Do your own thing
Whatever event you choose to hold, your support will go a long way in helping people affected by ME/CFS.
Get active or social
Almost anything you enjoy doing can be a great way to fundraise for AYME. You can swim, cycle or walk to raise funds. You could even hold a quiz night, have a barbecue, have a bake sale, or even hold a karaoke evening. Check out our fundraising ideas - the possibilities are endless!
Let's get started, download our ‘Guide to Fundraising' and our ‘Sponsor Form'.
Use the internet
Set up an online fundraising page using Justgiving, use the link as a way to share your activity with family and friends.
You can also share your activity using your Facebook or Twitter page. This will help spread the news and encourage support and donations.

No hair day!
Jet, one of our severely affected members (SAM), raised over £500 by shaving all her hair off for AYME. We asked her why...
Jet said "AYME has helped me during my most isolated times, by providing a buddy to write to me, sending me cards on birthday and Christmas, providing a forum where I can chat to fellow sufferers and make friends, and by having a helpline to give information or just chat to on a rough day or if anything is bothering me. AYME has made a positive difference to my life and I wanted to say thank you and give a little something back – and of course, raise awareness of this dreaded illness."
If you would like to raise funds for AYME, please email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 01908 379737.
