Event: Coast to Coast three-day cycle challenge across the Penninies Organiser: Jill Moss Date: Friday July 23- Monday July 26 Description: All riders are set to go but if you want to go along and support them on route contact Jill Moss, or to sponosr them please make a donation to www.justgiving.com/Brian-Scroggie. Brian did the C2C bike ride from Whitehaven to Sunderland in 2008 in four and a half days. This year it is more of a challenge! His daughter, Amy, who suffers from ME has had a lot of help and support from AYME. Although she is now too old to be a member we continue to support the charity. Contact: jill@ayme.org.uk
Event: Adidas Women's 5K Challenge Fundraiser: AYME’r Victoria – Entry is still open (to women only) and Victoria would love a walking buddy if anyone feels up to it Date: Sunday 5th September 2010 Location: Hyde Park, London Description: Victoria has ME but is determined to raise money for fellow young people who have ME/CFS so I will be walking the 5K. Event: BUPA Great South Run Fundraiser: Mum and daughter duo Susana and Emily, and Thomas Bell have already signed up. Please contact us if you would like to sign up. We have 15 places available. Date: Sunday 24th October 2010 Location: Southsea, Portsmouth Description: A very beautiful, fast, flat 16km (10 miles) road run through Southsea, Portsmouth which attracts thousands of runners of all abilities aged 16 and over. Event: Model ME – Selling Models Fundraiser: AYME’r Louis Date: Ongoing Description: Louis is making and selling models in order to raise money for AYME. He has raised an amazing £294 for AYME already and continues to hold many events, raising valuable awareness and funds for AYME. Well Done Louis.
