Distance Learning

Distance learning

Some Young People who are not well enough to attend education in school have found that a distance learning course is a good compromise, alongside or instead of home tutoring. Some of the providers of distance learning work in partnership with local authorities and schools through out the country to provide this as a cost effective form of education.

The two most common providers that we have come across are:

Accipio

Accipio Learning,
Unit 4,
The Old Brewery,
49-51 Brewhouse Hill,
Wheathampstead,
Herts, AL4 8AN.

Telephone:
01582 831 090

Fax:
01582 831 647

Website:
www.accipio-learning.com

Nisai

Nisai Group,
Milton Road,
Harrow,
Middlesex,
HA1 1XB,

Telephone:
+44(0)20 8424 8475,

Email: info@nisai.com
Website: www.nisai.com/education

If you are considering this option you will need to talk to the Head Teacher of the Young Persons School, the Local Education Authority or your Connexions service depending on the Young Persons age.

Below are the names of a couple of other distance learning providers which might be useful to look into, however we do not know if they can be funded through your local authority.
