Be a Friend to ME explains ME to children and young teenagers, the symptoms involved and how it affects a young person. Two young people with M.E. appear with their friends and explain how it can all be made much easier with a good friend by your side.  Professional input comes from Consultant Paediatrician, Dr Esther Crawley. She explains the slow and steady pace that's required for recovery and how the symptoms of ME affects the child in a classroom situation.

"I've never met a child with ME who is skiving."¯  (Dr Crawley)

Models of Good Practice for teachers is an informative look at two different schools managing pupils with ME.  Education law pertaining to educating sick children is explained. Clinical information is given by Dr Crawley, who discusses the difficulties young people have with memory, concentration and noise sensitivity in a classroom situation.

"Outside noise is not just distracting, it's painful, which makes concentrating almost impossible"¦they zone in and zone out of conversations and teachers need to be aware of this."¯ (Dr Crawley)
